• Yesterday

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Ok. If you know me, you know how huge of a role The Beatles play as an influence in my life. If you don’t, I’ll try getting the image across through the following true statement, “my Bar Mitzvah was Beatles themed.” That being said, when I saw the trailer for Yesterday, I was very excited. After all, I thought (and still think) it was a pretty brilliant and intriguing idea, that I myself have actually dreamed about in the past.…

  • Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese

Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese

This was a fun documentary that shows a lot of footage of Bob Dylan, I personally have never seen. And I’m glad I did, because this “feathered hat, white faced” version of Bob is energetic and exciting side of Bob I didn’t realize ever existed. All Bob Dylan fans will love this film, and those who aren’t, just listen to the good music.

Speaking of which, Desire is one of my favorite albums of Dylan’s so seeing him play all…

  • Captain Marvel

    Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel was pretty good! I enjoyed the story,  Brie Larson and Sam Jacksonvare great in their roles, I like how this fit into the MCU and helped expand the universe.

While overall I DID like this film, I think it fell flat in certain places holding it back from truly being great. I think this was a good set up for a truly great character!

  • Avengers: Endgame

    Avengers: Endgame

I’ve seen Avengers Endgame twice now.

Endgame was SOO MUCH FUN!!! It definitely had its issues, there’s a lot of plot holes and I didn’t agree with the way they handled some of the characters.

That being said, there were literally some mind blowing moments in this film, some of the MCUs best fight scenes ever, and just thinking about certain moments have literally made me tear up. (Not many movies have done that to me)

    It’s definitely not my…

  • Aquaman

This was a very fun movie! Aquaman isn’t a character I necessarily would consider “one fo my favorites” but this movie managed to put him higher on my list! And wasn’t that kind of the point of the film? This was definitely a win for the DCEU!

  • Three Identical Strangers

    Three Identical Strangers

This was a crazy story! It’s weird to think everything we know COULD be a lie. These three brothers (along with the many other siblings separated at birth) were forced to live an abnormal life because of “science.” It’s kind of like a real work Truman Show. I don’t know. It was a weird one.

  • Roma

Beautifully shot film. I love the choice to use black and white, and I think more films should try it aswell. This movie is completely engaging even with the subtitles. I found that while at the beginning, as someone who doesn’t speak Spanish, it was kind of hard to focuse in both the image, and the subtitles, but once the plot really starts kicking in, i found myself completely invested in the story, and almost didn’t need the subtitles. Roma is…

  • A Star Is Born

    A Star Is Born

A Star Is Born is a classic story and has once again touched a new generation in a powerful way. Bradley Cooper makes his directing debut with this film, and while that is apparent at times (some senes feel a little too long and drawn out, causing the movie to drag a little towards the end), he still managed to do a wonderful job. Both Cooper and Lady Gaga gave outstanding performances, but I would have to say Lady Gaga stoke the show. With great acting and music (“Shallow” is definitely an earworm!) A Star is Born is definitely a must see!

  • Vice

Outstanding performances by the entire cast, but Christian Bale was DEFINITELY the highlight. I thought it was interesting for a film about a man (Dick Cheney in this case), they were not afraid to show both his good side, and also his bad side. This movie held back not punches in showing how cruel some of his desicions were, but also show how the United States as a country benefited from these same actions. Vice is a film that really leaves you thinking about the moral struggle any other person would have had in Cheney’s position, but yet he did everything with ease. Go check it out!

  • The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Definitely not as good as the first, but it didn’t need to be. The first movie was a surprise in terms of how great it was. While The LEGO Movie 2 did manage to keep the same heart and humor, it was just more of the same. And that’s good.

  • Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

This was cute, but it was purely a kids movie, nothing much more... it made me chuckle a few times though

  • Bohemian Rhapsody

    Bohemian Rhapsody

While the editing is definitely weird at times, and the first 15 minutes feel very rushed, this movie was SOOO fun! It was hard not to sing and dance along with the film, because it is basically just a Queen concert on screen, which is all it really needed to be!
