Woman at War

Woman at War ★★★★

Ok, Hulu might be one of the worst streaming services I pay for, like WTF is this compression... There were some awesome shots in this film, and I feel like watching it in <1080p just did not do it justice.

Don't know what I was really expecting from this film, but this is actually a strangely wholesome film, considering it's about an eco-terrorist. Her character is extremely fleshed out, and her relationship with her sister specifically was a highlight. We're able to understand Halla's motive as a vigilante and her desires as a woman. The fact that she interacts with the musicians playing the diegetic score is really unique, in my opinion. This is such a pleasant surprise, and I had a blast from start to finish.

Poor Juan got screwed over multiple times though.
