Very low-budget mystery thriller from Italy that is actually apparently only the first part of an intended trilogy.

It's exceedingly rough around the edges. Basic sound issues blight the thing but the lush countryside makes it a treat for the eyes at least sometimes. It's quite odd, so take that as a recommendation of sorts. Clelia Cicero wakes up to a mystery box by her side. And 200 years before this detectives investigate a death.

    A bit of a mess…

    The House by the Cemetery

Haven't watched a movie wearing headphones for a while, and lemme tell you that the constant 'boy whimpering' soundtrack in House by the Cemetery is hella unsettling this way.

And of course the billion "Bob?"s are that much more irritating.

    Stuff of nightmares

One of the best found-footage films, maybe even THE best. Its secrets are fairly simple. Make it scary and move it along at a brisk pace. This film is never allowed to drag and we are invited to join the dots like the characters up to the genuinely chilling finale. Watching it with headphones on last night was a pant-soilingly good experience.

    The greatest remake ever.

The best Rick Moranis film there has been.

All other musicals pale into insignificance.
