I loved it. A film with Pedro Pascal as a lead and NIC MOTHERFUCKIN' CAGE playing himself was always going to be a hit with me. The chemistry between those two was just so on point, I want to believe they are going to continue to be bros now that filming has ended and they go on wild adventures together. The nouveau shamanic acting ability just spoke to me through the screen.
The references to his old films and the old memoribilia they gathered was so cool to see. I wasn't sure on young Nic Cage's CGI but it was just about passable to get through. I do wish I had the room with all the Nic Cage props just lying around.
I don't think I've ever seen anybody more heartbroken than when Pedro Pascal is told he has to die or kill Nic Cage. It made me heartbroken.
