Do I wish it took more of an inspiration from the Neil Gaiman comics or that Richard Madden had any charisma? Yes.
Did I nearly clap and squeal with glee when it went full on crazy cosmic Jack Kirby? Also yes.
Despite having my mind blown at a young age by Chariots of the Gods and loving Jack Kirby I wasn't expecting much from this. The trailers were terrible and the posters were worse. I had a lot of fun here though, it's not perfect but it's far more fun than I was expecting and that scene where the plot is explained is just. Wow. I love that far out cosmic Marvel stuff and it didn't hold anything back.
Talking about it with my son on the drive home was hilarious. I think it fried his brain.
