Spider-Man: Far from Home ★★★★

I love the idea of Far From Home's storyline more than the actual execution of it. There's some unexpected themes woven into the popcorn fare that are quite terrifying if you stop to think about them. Nevertheless it's still a fun outing for the beloved-by-all-ages webslinger.

Tom Holland is the quintessential Spider-Man and Jake Gyllenhaal is an excellent addition to the ever expanding Marvel universe that will one day engulf us all.

On a personal note, I am so ready for the MCU to move on from the glorification of Iron Man as the lynchpin of the entire franchise. Tony Stark was a brilliant asshole with a savior complex that caused more problems than he solved. I got that message in the other eight films when you hammered it home. Next phase, please.
