A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master 1988
maybe not the best sequel in the series as a whole (Dream Warriors does a lot of the narrative beats in this better) but there are a handful of sequences that rank with the best in the franchise, particularly the “pizza” and “weightlifting” dreams which are still legitimately nightmare fuel, especially if you don’t like bugs and/or do like meatballs — Englund is clearly having a blast here

Scream for Help 1984
an all timer assault on suburbia, turning what feels like an innocuous youth mystery into an all out exploitation movie, equal parts erotic thriller and trashy home invasion flick, but somehow more sleazy and surreal than that should ever be — still, a few times in, unable to accept that it is real, was shot in New Rochelle NY and that it was written by Tom Holland and directed by Michael Winner (who both may not regard this amongst their best work, but I do)
