Nope ★★★★

a sci-fi movie that’s as concerned with its human characters as anything fantastical (or extraterrestrial) might not be as rare as we think (after all, Peele is pretty explicitly referencing Spielberg on more than one occasion here) but seldom are sci-fi films concerned with people this quiet and vulnerable, as focused on the concerns of daily life as with a potential world changing event — but, beyond all of that, like the best sci-fi films, it makes you want to go back for more immediately to see how its world reflects and juxtaposes with ours; a veritable bag of tricks from a filmmaker that seems to have every cinema gimmick in his lexicon and ready to go
