Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars: The Last Jedi ★★½

Given all of episode 7 was building up to finding Luke Skywalker, a good job was done with the character, Hamill giving an enjoyable performance as the disturbed former jedi. What about the other characters?

Kylo certainly shined most. Snoke and Hux both gave cartoony performances but were still fitting to the Star Wars universe.
Rey... is a cool character, but can Daisy Ridley act? No.
Finn and Poe on the other hand are well acted, but do nothing interesting the entire film, boring to no character arcs.

Some epic moments, and I'll give credit to it taking risks and not keeping super safe like Force Awakens. However, the majority of these risks crash and burn.

It was always said that this film was the make or break of the new trilogy. As I no longer find myself excited for episode 9, I'll call this a break.
