J.M. Brandt - Co-writer of Swamp Dogs’s review published on Letterboxd:
Between the lack of big-name actors and the small budget, this easily could have been an episode of a prestige television sci-fi anthology series. That's both a good thing and a bad thing.
GOOD THING: The plot was interesting and the mechanics of it seemed to intimate a larger world building that is ripe for exploration. It is nice to see small budget films with absurd plots make it to the theater. The action is good and fun, and the movie is solid.
BAD THING: It felt like it lacked the impact, no pun intended, of a theatrical film. Had this not been a Moviepass title for me (my first), I would have come away feeling empty. The movie didn't move the needle much, on any account.
