Action is truly one of cinema's greatest forms of expression. True, you can cite some embarrassing examples of the genre. But when it hits, nothing hits harder. I'll never stop saying that dialogue is cool, but nothing reveals character like action itself. You can learn more about a character in what they choose to do during a shootout, than in a 30 minute dialogue-filled scene. I personally know a lot of people who would rather die than watch an action movie. And if any of you cinema-studies high-art-vs-low-art mfs is reading this, get off your high horse and start watching.
