Burning ★★★★½

Fantastic. Lee is doing a great deal here in his filmmaking to highlight the (potential?) subjectivity of the narrative. Told from a writer's perspective, the film strikes me as being very much about the possibility of truly knowing others, and the mysteries that result from our isolation. Of course, there's also much here about class difference and how women function in society as well. Wonderfully complex film from one of my favorite filmmakers working today.
