Easily the most quotable, rewatchable and consistently entertaining film ever made, but it’s crazy that I’ve never logged a rewatch of this since joining Letterboxd. I love this movie for a multitude of reasons and have a lot of memories tied to it, but I think the reason I love it so much and can tell people it’s my favorite movie, is because it’s the film that really launched me on this movie watching journey and the film I can ultimately attribute my love of cinema to. Should’ve rewatched this a long time ago.

Definitely wasn’t expecting this to go as hard as it did. Compelling characters, bloody action, and beautiful cinematography. I love the setting, and I think more sci-fi movies should take place in the past.

The absolute grip this movie had on me in my teens. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone just make my heart melt. Til Kingdom Come scene is unmatched.

Soundtrack slaps, but oof, what a hilarious dud of a third act. Blanks bro!

    Wait what.

I don’t think this movie got finished...What I saw was surprisingly entertaining and a lot better than I was expecting. It’s got good cinematography, a great aesthetic, amazing atmosphere, interesting scares and an engaging performance from Mackenzie Davis as we follow her psychological descent into complete paranoia, but like I said, this movie did not get finished, because it’s got one of the most awkward cut to credits I’ve ever witnessed that left the entire theater baffled. I honestly have no idea what to think.
