  • The King of Staten Island

    The King of Staten Island

    ★★★★

As someone who is mixed on Judd Apatow as a filmmaker, this was a pleasant surprise, bring what I personally think is his best film to date. Pete Davidson shines as Scott, bringing a personal and deep performance that is far and away the best of his career and shows he has something. The writing was fairly balanced of both comedic and dramatic and worked to a great effect. The rest of the ensemble cast is also solid while not…

  • The Wolf of Wall Street

    The Wolf of Wall Street

    ★★★★

Not to be the 50,000th person to say this but The Wolf Of Wall Street is a fantastic and unhinged film. Scorsese directs the hell out of this film, making a three hour runtime seem like 20 minutes. Leonardo DiCaprio is fantastic as Belfort, a money crazed little shit who is crazy for money. The writing is comedic and does not feel like a typical biopic. The editing is fast and filled with high energy. Definitely one of Scorsese’s best!

One of the most rewatchable film of the last decade and will always be enjoyable to watch. Scorsese is just simply the king!

  • Borat Subsequent Moviefilm

    Borat Subsequent Moviefilm

    ★★★★

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm feels completely different from its predecessor while also sticking to what makes the original very funny. As always, Sacha Baron Cohen is extremely funny as this character and never fails to make his audience smile. This film is vulgar in its social views but thats what fans come to expect. This keeps the same style of humor but takes it into a modernist approach, where technology and people’s perception of life has changed drastically. If you're a fan of the first film, you'll surely love this film and is a worthy follow-up!

If there isn’t a better time to watch horror movies, it is right now! The leaves are changing colors, the night is getting colder and darker. Some may say it is getting spooky out! As the holiday of Halloween draws near, many filmmakers try to capitalize on that trend and tend to make films that would scare audiences around the…

  • Hubie Halloween

    Hubie Halloween

    ★★★★

Hubie Halloween is an innocent, wholesome and hilarious film that relies on Sandler to pull the film forward. The acting by Sandler and the rest of his friends are all pretty great and you really care for them. Sure, the side characters aren’t given much depth but that’s the point. It is a silly, nonsensical halloween caper and wears it like a badge of honor, and i loved it

    I believe in Adam Sandler!

  • Wild at Heart

    Wild at Heart

    ★★★★

Wild at Heart displays Lynch working like Tony Scott. A straight forward and accessible Bonnie and Clyde-esque film that never stops to become weird at times. Cage and Dern are fabulous here. Some of the scenes become a bit redundant and unnecessary. The cinematography is dirty and the editing is awesome. The score is great as well.

This Lynch guy knows how to make movies

  • The Killer

    The Killer

    ★★★★

John Woo is probably the best director when it comes to action filmmaking. He’s a filmmaker that takes risks and is not afraid of letting loose with the craziness of it all and The Killer proves my point. While not my favorite of his, I mean Hard Boiled is my favorite action film of all time, it still is one of his best. Chow Yun Fat of course brings a charismatic performance and his stunt work is off the charts.…

  • The Animatrix

    The Animatrix

    ★★★★

The Animatrix seriously proves that The Matrix is one of cinema’s best franchises. In a world where Marvel and Star Wars are all spectacle, The Matrix truly has something to say and truly shines in its world building. These shorts were wonderfully crafted and gave the audience more of the world we can chew on and proves that it does not need to be all live action.

    I love The Matrix!

  • Unfriended

    Unfriended

    ★★★★

The first Unfriended film is a modern interpretation of "Saw" and "the Blair Witch Project"; five people are set to play a select few games that are selected by the puppet master, sound familiar? However, this film does raises different themes and questions that are strangely relevant. The past comes to haunt you and be careful who you mess with while laso acting as a fun ghost horror.

This is far past just a simple guilty pleasure, it is a fun and great horror movie that at is best discussing the inner demon's inside these terrible people
