There was so much hype surrounding this. An amazing director, one hell of an ensemble cast, and of course Hans Zimmer scoring the film. Surely these would all add up to create an epic sci fi film. After watching it I wasn't blown away by it. Villeneuve showcases his directing skills. The film feels epic and definitely looks epic but at the same time so bland. The story feels incomplete as this is part 1 of 2. I just feel bummed that after all this hype I was left somewhat disappointed. I need another viewing.

One of Spielberg's best! I can't believe it took me this long to finally watch this. It almost doesn't feel like he directed it but still I found it to be really enjoyable.

As a musician who plays guitar and loves heavy metal I understand the need to to play loud, heavy, and powerful. The more one does this the more you hearing can be damaged. It's a risk one needs to take into consideration. At the core and overall message of this film is about acceptance. Sometimes there are things beyond our control. This film is honest, respectful, terrifying, and revealing. Emotionally impacting yet hauntingly beautiful. Riz Ahmed gives a phenomenal and heartbreaking/ heartwarming performance that made it all feel real. Get this dude an Oscar!

The first episode of Loki is phenomenal. With amazing call backs to the past of the MCU and great comedic timing I can already tell that this just might be my favorite MCU show yet. Marvel Studios once again succeeds in finding new ways to tell interesting stories to progress this already huge juggernaut of a franchise. I look forward how it ties into the greater MCU.
