I think this may be the most mad I have ever been at a film and the most I have ever yelled at my tv, but far from my first time viewing Ben Affleck as a total chode.

While my rage at this film is mostly a positive as we are clearly supposed to hate these characters, I did find the ending to be a little anti-climactic. As I said though, the ability to present such hatable characters is this film's major strength.

In addition to presenting awful human beings, Gone Girl further feels holistically anti-romantic with the way it just destroys the concept of marriage by way of exposing how shitty most people's marriages really are. It makes being single seem pretty great, especially when your options are a psychopath and/or Ben Affleck.
