    The Talented Mr. Ripley

    Okay, well it took me way too long in my life to watch this movie and I was intoxicated by it.
    The scenery, the music, the electric cast.
    It’s such a tragic crime movie, just revealing itself over the course of it’s long, but didn’t feel it, length.
    I don’t know how I hadn’t heard about the film’s plot before but it’s hitchcockian in a way that I really dug.
    Matt Damon has never been better.

    Also, Phillip Seymour Hoffman…

    I think this script is severely lacking any characters that aren’t objectively the worst. Not even teen dumb. Just straight up making every wrong choice in the goal of creating their self made hurdles to extend the overlong running time.

    I’m sure everyone working on this film is of the best of intentions- but this film is a major misstep for both the comedic tone and the heartfelt vibes they are trying for.

    There’s a better movie of this concept…
