Nick J’s review published on Letterboxd:
You know what, I'm still not quite sure if I like this movie or not. The first-person point of view is definitely too gimmicky and headache-inducing, completely removing the role of the protagonist for a cheap thrill. Sure, it works for a music video, but a whole movie? It's too much.
It's the aesthetics and action where the strength of the movie lies. Cool character designs, great use of gritty city settings and futuristic laboratories to keep every scene fresh, lovely soundtrack, and some exciting action sequences and gory fun. It's just missing that pathos and sense of stakes that would push this film from being a cheap thrill to a genuine great modern action film.
