Focusing more on the reactions during and after the destruction as opposed to the destruction itself, Shin Godzilla (Godzilla: Resurgence) makes for a terrific reboot of Toho's classic property as well as a fantasticc start for a potentially promising new series of films featuring the King of the Monsters, with swift pacing, stunning visuals (especially for the Big G), and biting sociopolitical commentary and satire.
