The Snowman 2017
I saw the trailer for this when I was 14, and I thought it looked dope. I knew it was based on the 7th book of the Harry Hole series, so I went and read the first book, “the Bat.” It was bad. I then gave up on reading the books.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish 2022
2 things to get out of the way:
1) I love animation. I think it’s an under appreciated medium that can accomplish so much more than dumb kids movies.

The Queen's Gambit 2020
Some buddies and I have taken up chess lately, so I obligatorily watched this. It is very good. What’s so cool about this show is that it takes a very boring spectator sport like chess and makes it intense and fun.
It tells an engaging story that is simple without being too formulaic. It makes chess fun. Nuff said.
