Still wondering what Bill Murray whispered at the end of Lost in Translation.
You Gotta Believe in the Poetry
Well what a poem! It’s always impressive to me how you can get so much from scenes and in this case almost an entire short or episode that’s just one conversation. The dialogue is so good and leaves you with a strong feeling that’s hard to describe. This show’s ability to cover such heavy themes leaves me with my mouth wide open in awe. Ali as a character is a gem.
I was born in Monterrey and grew up in the state. I’m sorry but this is just in no way representative of the area. It’s legit one of if not the whitest city in Mexico. A friend just let me know not too long ago that it was listed as the richest city in Latin America (have to verify but I don’t doubt it). Look I get that when making foreign films, people want to highlight the stuff…
Too Early for this.
It’s well done and I think it works well as an early “realization that he’s made it” type of documentary but I do feel like things like this work better when an artist is well into their career. I like some of the Shawn Mendes songs and think there will be a lot of great stuff in the future so maybe in the future they’ll make another one of these that’s more of a career retrospective.
