Jonazz’s review published on Letterboxd:
All Quiet on the Western Front captures the harsh realities of war. As terrible as the Second World War was, the First World War is something many people think less quickly about, while it most likely was a more intense war. The cinematography is what already stands out from the first shots, and throughout the film there are beautiful and shocking images, which also show a certain balance between the action on the battlefield and everything inbetween. This is a film that actually does a tremendous job from almost every corner, and for that the film deserved the Oscars it got.
