Stop Making Sense is without a doubt the best concert film I have ever seen.
I am not sure if I even want to call this a film because it's so weird and different from anything I've watched before.
The visuals of this film are fucking amazing. The cinematography fits every song and helps create an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're really there. The popcorn film I feel doesn't take me out of the film but adds to it. It helps out you into what that concert must've felt like.
David Byrne (and everyone else for that matter) give absolutely electrifying performances. The choreography was so odd that it immersed me so much. As the title of the film promises this film makes no sense. It's a beautiful film that I don't understand yet it's so good.
I didn't want this to end, I want to stay in whatever insane world david byrne and the rest of the talking heads live in. I never thought I'd see the day where I give a concert film five stars but here we are. This film is not afraid to be out there and I adore that. If you have not seen this film go fix that immediately.
