Jordan Smith’s review published on Letterboxd:
Not quite as terrific as it was the first time around, unfortunately, but light years ahead of most mainstream American action. Opening half-hour remains an unassailable bit of juicy set-up and the delicious mythologizing of John Wick as the ultimate badass is still something I just eat up with a spoon. Michael Nyqvist makes a quantum leap forward here after his anemic turn in Ghost Protocol, imbuing some funny quirks in his villain without it coming off as hokey. Only beef is that the choreography is a little monotonous in comparison to its HK counterparts which seem more graceful and balletic. This primarily consists of Keanu Reeves throwing people over his shoulder and shooting them in the face. That's a pretty awesome "problem" for a movie to have, right?
