  Cuando una se convierte en mamá siente que se está partiendo en 2.
  When you become a mother you feel like you are split in two.

  The movie has a lot of symbolism and is full on Mexican folklore. Which it was nice and refreshing to see.
  I love the message behind it, the meaning of the creature, the very creepy visuals, the really nice cinematography, and the eerie sound design. I wish the pace was a little more moved or eventful, but the direction was satisfying.
  I'm home now.

  We all need something to distract us from complexity and reality.

  I love this genre of dramas.
  Movies like Freedom Writers, The Pursuit of Happiness, Boyhood, The Edge of Seventeen, The Florida Project, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and many others have helped me navigate the growing pains.
  I related to multiple aspects of the story and and it broke me in a disgusting way.
  Adrian Brody is such an amazing actor and this movie is very underrated.
