Let's start this review. Here we go.

First of all, this is the most talented cast a Star Wars has ever had. Every single one of them is in peak form, in particular my man Mark Hamill. The man has been an incredible voice actor for ever, but this is the greatest moment of his career. If this is really the final bow for Luke, and I sincerely hope it is not, what a note to go out on.

I cried the first dozen times Carrie Fisher was on screen. Truly. I miss her so much, but I'll be damned if her performance didn't capture every inch of the woman she was. If this really is the last we see of Princess Organa, what a way to go out.

Rey had a tense and terrific arc as well. Though we thought we were seeing her tread a familiar arc, Johnson twists it around and Daisy Ridley's performance checks every box. It is so thrilling to watch her come into her own.

If there is a religion dedicated to BB-8, please let me know how to join.

Finn and Rose's story was an excellent addition as well. They play such
strong and heroic characters. Rose added such an fierce idealism to the story that I feel is sometimes lacking in Star Wars films.

Laura Dern's character was so awesome too. She might have been the best addition to the cast as a whole.

Then there's Kylo Ren. He was easily the most improved of any of the characters. His decisions here really helped lend a deeper characterization, and he now is the true big bad this trilogy deserves.

The new planets and critters are all welcome additions to the franchise, and I could not be more excited to see where the franchise goes from here. Shoutout to Rian Johnson, the King.

And oh yes, the Porgs. I love the Porgs.
