Spider-Man: Far From Home

Spider-Man: Far From Home ★★★½

This was truly a pleasant surprise.

If there is anyone who wants to forget about marvel and go back to that days of the Raimi Spiderman films, it’s me. I walked into this with hopefully yet skeptical expectations, but I left feeling pretty satisfied.

What made this movie work was it’s emotional core. I really felt for Spiderman struggling to balance his love life and his spidey life. All of the scenes with Peter and MJ were perfectly weird and they have a chemistry that makes you root for them. Also all of the kids in Peters class are a lot of fun and a lot of their comedy hits far more often than it misses.

Also this has some really impressive and somewhat trippy visuals that gave me some Spiderverse vibes
Without spoilers of course, all I will say is that the villain is really well handed and definitely one of the more interesting in the MCU.

The movie has a lot to say and this is one of the more intelligent and somewhat self aware Marvel movies.

There are some nit picky things but they are to be expected but aren’t worth going into. This is a fun movie and it’s my favorite Spiderman movie since Spiderman 2.  7/10
