Two years of buildup and sky high expectations led me to this very moment. It feels weird to finally say I've seen this movie, but I did.
And it was fucking fantastic.
It's only been a few minutes since the end credits rolled but I can't physically put my thoughts into words. This film is tremendous in every sense of the word. 145 minutes and not once was I ever bored or did I feel like the film was losing…
The search for purpose is a rocky one, littered with the dangers of things out of our own control, but all we can do is make the smart decisions, be good to each other, and never give up.
A deeply American film in a way I didn't expect. This is a beautiful little story that feels so authentic and lived in; I found genuine attachment to Wendy and her struggles, and Reichardt's singular vision brought out every emotion, making my stomach drop at every turn. I love it.

Some interesting imagery and decent direction bogged down by a boring screenplay that’s incoherent at a handful of points. In other words, an early work from a great director. Cronenberg’s traits are at least prevalent enough in this for me to assume that I’ll really like his other movies.
