Tenet ★★★★

Let me start off by saying I’m not a huge Nolan fan. Dunkirk is one of my favorite films of the last decade but everything else he has done is just good. Now this, there is a lot to admire. The practicality of the whole thing. The mostly brilliant direction and incredible visuals. A fantastic score even if it is  overbearing at times. I went into this not really trying to understand it, just to take it all in. The gun action and fight choreography is surprisingly pretty sloppy. The final action sequence is also a big mess, though all the other action was pretty stellar. The plot is way too convoluted but at the same time pretty damn brilliant. All the time stuff doesn’t make much sense to me but I honestly don’t care. About halfway through it really hooked me. Probably Nolan’s best outside of Dunkirk. Liked this a lot more than I thought I would. A great surprise.
