Joseph’s review published on Letterboxd:
If Cassavetes and Godard had a love child, Buffalo ‘66 would surely be the result of its efforts. A murderers’ row of talent (Christina Ricci!, Angelica Huston!, Ben Gazzara!, Mickey Rourke!) help keep Vincent Gallo’s idiosyncratic vision chooglin’ along. A cry for help has never been so entertaining; twisted karaoke, a tap routine performed for a pathetic audience, and an unexpectedly beautiful denouement are some of the many pleasures of this film. Looking forward to the inevitable rewatch.
