  This kickass indie horror movie trend is awesome. Between The Babadook, It Follows, and this I'm actually starting to like horror. The Witch never takes any cheap shots - every moment of fear/terror is perfectly built up, the result of tension that's been expertly crafted through multiple different ways. The cinematography is genius, always keeping the focus of the shot far to the side of the frame so you're always on edge about what will come into the rest…
