I’ve been really excited for this for a while. I heard it was hyped when it first came out. And than after all the Oscar’s nominations it made me even more excited. So after checking it out, it definitely lives up to the hype. It’s a beautiful and moving story about loss and driving of course. But yeah this movie was amazing. It’s one of those films where I can’t describe in full. It’s just so beautiful, it’s great that films outside from the us and getting more attention from awards shows mainly the Oscar’s. Where it got nominated for 4 I believe including best picture and that’s some definite progress for them. I know everyone is writing 10 paragraph reviews about this but honestly I’m just in awe of this film. I feel like no words can describe how this film makes you feel. It’s 3 hours long and it can feel a bit slow at points. But it’s worth. It’s so far my 2nd favorite of the best picture nominees. The power of the dog is a bit better imo still. But both were fantastic and I wish they would of won instead. All I have yet is CODA, which won and yes it does look good but I feel like it’s probably not Oscar worthy. But Drive my Car was still really good. I definitely recommend it.
