Juan Diaz’s review published on Letterboxd:
The most Kaufmanesque, film that Charlie Kaufman has made by far. Before I give it a rating, (If that’s even possible) I think I might have to watch it one more time. There’s so much; Existential monologues, a whole ass film review of A Women Under the Influence, and surrealist imagery. But on a first time watch what I found most admirable, was the “Fuck it”, vibe Charlie Kaufman brought to this movie. He was bold and pretentious and absurd and I’m all for it. After the box office failure of Anomalisa, (A movie I adore ) Charlie has hinted that this might be his last film. If that’s true, which we all hope it’s not, what a fearless way to go!
