“we love each other so much.”

the first half of this was literally so perfect, everything was going so great. it felt so unique and adam driver’s performance was glorious. the second half just wasn’t my thing, i was so invested in the story and then it just became something entirely different, which was obviously the whole point, but fuck, it felt so messy.

the score was great, the performances, the cinematography, it was all so carefully executed, but i guess the beginning was so incredible it set the bar too high for the ending, which was so underwhelming, mainly because i lost track of the last hour and a half trying to feel what the first thirty minutes made me feel.
