This movie is no more creepy than Beauty and the Beast and we show that to children.
I love bizarre melodramatic stuff, I'm into sultry sex thrillers from the 80s and 90s, I'm open to liking films that everyone else hates, yet this failed hard for me. I don't understand how this has one of the largest audiences on Netflix because it isn't even that approachable of a film... It really is that bad. Not just because it is problematic in so many ways but because the story just sucks. It's boring and convoluted with piss poor pacing and horrible acting. It feels like an alien made it after watching a weird mix of sultry films from the late 1980s and telenovelas. The only high point is the fantastically bad music.
Avoid... not even fun bad.
