Maybe war is a bad idea. This is really beautiful and well made film but war movies are so fucking boring to me and often have messages that I couldn't give two shits about. The film itself features great performances, astonishing cinematography and a score that I really appreciated, however I never really cared about the characters and eventually just became numb to the violence and started checking my phone. Other than some minor complaints about a few kills feeling more like the goal was to show a badass kill than to show the depressing realities of war, I feel like this film is fairly harmless so if you like it that's cool it just very much didn't engage me on the story level.

My least favorite type of movie, and it's still decent.
