"You speak Prada?" - Shopaholic
Buying things really does feel awesome.
This movie made me anxious because of the excessive hijinx and lying about finances, but once I acclimated it's a pretty fun story with a decent romance and a nice point about addictions to spending. I've always enjoyed Isla Fisher in everything that she's been in. She's got a fun and happy energy that works for this movie, which with a different actress could come off a little more sad. There's also a nice supporting cast with the likes of John Lithgow, Leslie Bibb, Krysten Ritter, Joan Cusack, John Goodman and Fred Arimisen. The wish fulfillment with all the nice stuff that she buys will be fun for some viewers and the color and costumes are great.
P.S. Jokes about stalking aren't typically funny. These were very unfunny.
