Harrowing.

A caring and loving exploration of one refugee experience filled with turmoil and trauma. The film evokes fear and isolation with a powerful story and and an emotional presentation. The animation beautifully supplements the story in a way that allows the pain and strife to be more palatable and works so much better than reenactments or leaving the footage out. I like how the film occasionally gives you pops of real footage just to ground it in reality but mostly it's the animation. It's a touching story about a friend sharing trauma and I liked it.
