Julian Nunez’s review published on Letterboxd:
Suffering as a means to liberation.
The most gnarly break up movie there probably ever will be. As deliciouly disturbing the set pieces that take up the back half of the film are, those opening 10 (?) minutes are going to be seared into my mind and soul much like my first viewing experience of HEREDITARY was. Ari Aster out here ruining my life since 2018™️. Florence Pugh displays levels of raw pain that truly shook me (not unlike Toni Collette). A breakthrough performance if there ever was one.
Don’t know if this is actually overall strong as HEREDITARY, as it feels a tad too long, but the experience it left me with is just as unforgettable.
