  D.W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation is unquestionably the single most vile film I have ever seen. Absolutely reprehensible and irredeemable on every level. The notion that hate was ingrained in the hearts of so many people that this film was even made, and then subsequently treated to a grossing of billions at the American box office is an utterly terrifying one.

  I'm at a loss for words on what to write. All I can say is that the content of Saló has been significantly over-exaggerated in its severity. Don't be one of those guys who says "I refuse to watch Saló".

  Oh, yeah, and it's a really fucking excellent film. Would rate a 10/10 if I could.
