Jack’s review published on Letterboxd:
Everything that made Normal People such a compelling and emotionally incisive series is completely lacking in Conversations with Friends: a meandering, bland, and overlong adaptation. One that stumbles from one mundane plot point to the next with awkward writing and lead actors that have no chemistry whatsoever. I do think it has brief moments of greatness but those are all bogged down when most of the twelve half-hour episodes are filled with dull conversations and unsexy sex scenes. Maybe I was just expecting a bit too much from this because I found it to be a massive bore.
