Jack’s review published on Letterboxd:
With Pig, Michael Sarnoski has crafted something that is substantially more touching and intelligent than any I ever could’ve imagined. It’s a restrained and poignant meditation on grief that finds idiosyncratic beauty in one’s search for a lost pig. Nicolas Cage delivers one of the most soulful and gentle performances of his career as a secluded man yearning for peace, adding so much to this film’s singularity. Sarnoski has absolutely floored me with this brilliant debut and I’m greatly anticipating whatever he does next.
