julietteschke’s review published on Letterboxd:
A really strange movie but it combines the things i love: Adam Driver, musicals and arthouse movies. I watched it with my mother and she‘s really disturbed now. I‘m not allowed to talk about the movie in front of her, but they are a lot of things still in my mind: the symbolic use of colour (Adam driver in a narcissistic green, anne in an innocent yellow and the red lights when something is about to happen), the use of the marionette instead of a baby and the interesting music by sparks. The cinematography reminded me of renaissance paintings. The fifth star is missing because the second half was a little long and the movie is sometimes too strange, even for me.
