No Time to Die

No Time to Die ★★★½

Hey! Cool! Bond finally gets to have fun again.

I was not a fan of the sombre style of SKYFALL and SPECTRE, so it's nice to see Cary Joji Fukunaga let Bond get bruised and shoot off some a few puns. The action is fun but generic. Gotta get that fake oner in there!

It's still exhaustingly long (It wouldn't be a Bond film if it weren't), the villain is lame, and the lack of gadgets makes me sad, but this is as close to the rough n' tumble magic of CASINO ROYALE we'll ever get with Craig at the helm. He was an excellent choice for the role and was mainly squandered.
