    Remembering when I said Decision to Leave was the film of the year and.. yeaaaaaaaa, this goddamn masterpiece is. Reflecting on some memories that are seemingly mundane at first, but become massively important as it needs dissecting later on. Eventually, memory is all we have, and it’s so delicately played with in this film that the intimate and moving tone is quickly turned into the feeling that all is not what it seems…

    The halfway point is literally when this starts to gain any traction. If this was 45-50 minutes of brief set up of showing them drink the laced punch, then you’d have a fantastic film, as everything that comes after is pure greatness from a technical standpoint.     Obsession. Hard to overcome any kind. The grin says it all. She just had to prove it to herself. Knowledge sets you free. The climax and ensuing race are beautifully captured, and the ending says it all.
