John Buckley’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the few Carpenters I hadn't seen. Definitely an '80s curio—high concept and razor thin plot anchored by two strong lead performances. Allen is so expressive, and Bridges perfectly combines humor and empathy. The music and SFX are Carpenter-esque, but otherwise, this is definitely an outlier in his filmography. Albeit an enjoyable one.
