Pigs is a student film that showcases some hilarious moments alongside a couple of memorable characters and good direction. The sound may not be up to par, but for a first time film I was generally impressed.

Shoutout to my friend who wrote, directed, and produced it! Full film can be found for free on YouTube here.

    Three Colors: White

White, the second film in Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Three Colours trilogy, is a film about a Polish man’s drive to fulfill his life after losing his marriage, business, and home in France.

The core theme of this film, represented by the white in the French flag, is of Equality. Returning to his home in Poland, our main character Karol is set on changing his circumstances and balancing out the series of unfortunate events that the film began with.

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is not a perfect film, but it is the perfect hangout film. Tarantino does an incredible job crafting this slow burning thriller/ dark comedy, making you care about every single character in the movie. Always entertaining and even endearing, this one looks to be another peak in Tarantino’s catalog.

A fascinating look into the lives of two troubled teenagers. You can feel their pain and sympathize with them, while also understanding that they might be a little in over their heads. Also, a great last performance by Anton Yelchin.

Oh and that ending was all kinds of fucked up.
