David Fucking Fincher. Good lord I like this guy. I like the darkness. I like the twist. I am so completely bought into his style. This movie was like a slightly toned down version of fight club for me. I literally was stressed the whole time. I worried David hated women until Affleck throws her head into the wall in the final scene—made me think he believes all of humanity is cursed. Amazing movie. Also, Pike has totally redeemed herself between this and I Care Alot. Both films showed her true talent.
