Watched this in the front row and it felt like there was a laugh track in the theater…so yeah. A modern-day early 2000s comedy and potential classic. I had a fun time.
They did not shy away from the brutal anti-patriarchy commentary but I truly think that speaks to male cluelessness 😍 Like genuinely take a shot every time they say patriarchy. I definitely think young girls will really connect with this, yet it had a balance of adult references too.
I went in with zero expectations which was for the better, I could enjoy it as it was. The production design and costume design is absolutely perfect I felt like a child…

Really fitting for my current existential crisis about love and what it takes to find it, feelings of loneliness, and the inevitability of time passing while waiting for these ‘perfect’ moments of opportunity.
