But I'm a Cheerleader ★★★½

Quirky cult classic

At times a bit too absurdist, but once you settle into it there are some real laughs in there. Clea DuVall was great in it, and it’s fun to see so many other stars pop up before they’re famous. There are frequent laugh out loud moments, but the actual plot line is kind of horrifying, making you wonder if this should be a laughing matter. It is good satire to show the craziness of what some people used to believe (and in some cases still do)

Would make an interesting double bill with The Miseducation of Cameron Post
